Every Curse Has a Cause Part Three by John Hagee
Proverbs 26:2—Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight.

Every curse has a cause
Part Three—
AntiSemitism brings the curse of God.

AntiSemitism is hatred toward the Jewish people.  God said to Abraham, the father of the Jewish people.  “This is my foreign policy concerning Israel and the Jewish people:  I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you.  And through you shall the nations of the world be blessed” Genesis 12:3.

It’s a historical fact that the nations of the world have been blessed through the Jewish people.  Jesus said, “salvation is of the Jews” John 4:22.  It was the Jewish people:  I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you.  And through you shall the nations of the world be blessed” Genesis 12:3.

It’s a historical fact that the nations of the world have been blessed through the Jewish people.  Jesus said that salvation is of the Jews” John 4:22. It was the Jewish people that gave us the patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  It was the Jewish people that gave us the prophets—Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and Isaiah—

There’s not a Baptist in the bunch.  Mary and Joseph—the Jewish family into which our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was born.  Mary and Joseph were not known as Mr. and Mrs. Christ, One Cave Lane, Bethlehem, Palestine.  They were Mr. and Mrs. Rabinowitz or Mr. and Mrs. Goldberg.  Almost all of the Bible was written by Jewish people.  I believe that’s why Satan hates the Jewish people so intently.  They produced the word of God and the Son of God that broke Satan’s hold over humanity.  AntiSemitism is a demonic spirit born in the bowels of hell to retaliate against the Jewish people for the good things they have done to bring the light of God to humanity.

Find Peace Today by Joel Osteen

"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You."Isaiah 26:3, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD:
Do you need peace in your life today? Are you feeling frustrated, hopeless or like things are beyond your control? The first question to ask yourself is, “What do I have my mind set on? What am I thinking about?” If you are focused solely on your circumstances or how impossible everything is, it’s going to affect your peace level. But when you keep your mind stayed on God and what He can do in your life, when you get your mind going in the right direction, then you are setting yourself up for peace.

You may be going through difficulty today; you may be in overwhelming circumstances in your life; however, God still promises you peace in the midst of the storm. He promises that He will preserve you when you call on Him. Choose to keep your mind focused on the Father. Be empowered by meditating on His Word. Find peace today by putting your trust and hope in Him.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for peace that passes understanding. I receive it as a blanket of comfort to my heart, mind and emotions. I choose to keep my mind stayed on You and thank You for ordering my steps in Jesus’ name. Amen

Don't Be Discouraged by Jerry Savelle
September 1, 2017

Proverbs 28:20 says, “A faithful man shall abound with blessings.”

Abounding would imply that increase has taken place. But notice it didn’t take place overnight. It was the result of faithfulness and faithfulness takes time.

Let me define faithful for you. It means:
1) Sticking with God and His Word no matter what happens in your life
2) Being steadfast in your allegiance to God
3) Unwavering loyalty
4) A firm resistance to the temptation to give up, draw back, or to compromise.

God promises that if you will stick with Him and His Word, then you will abound with blessings.

God promises that if you will be steadfast in your allegiance to Him, then you will abound with blessings.

God promises that if you have unwavering loyalty to Him, then you will abound with blessings.

God promises that if you will develop a firm resistance to the temptation to give up, draw back, or compromise then you will abound with blessings.

Hebrews 10:39 says, “We are not of them who draw back.”

The Message Translation says, “We’re not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We’ll stay with it . . . trusting God all the way.”

I want to encourage you today, don’t get discouraged if you don’t see things happening in your life immediately, have faith that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Your due season will come. It will happen.

Galatians 6:9, “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” The key word there is “IF.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To every thing there is a season…”

According to God, there is an appointed time to reap the harvest. So don’t be discouraged. Your harvest time will come. Our part is to not become weary and quit.

Confession: “I will not grow weary in well doing. My harvest time is coming in Jesus name!”

Listening to God by Dr. Charles Stanley
Proverbs 2:1-5

Learning to listen to God is an essential part of following His will. The Lord regularly speaks to His children through…

Scripture. The Bible is our guidebook to God’s thoughts and actions. It is the primary source for Christians to discover His character and learn to trust Him. This means we ought to read more than just a little bit every day. Our goal should be to absorb the message and then listen for God to offer instructions on how and where to apply His Word.

Prayer. Like all real friends, the Lord desires give-and-take in His relationships. Therefore, prayer is not complete when we’re done talking. We must quiet our mouth and thoughts so that our spiritual ears can open.

Circumstances. In the Bible, the Lord often revealed His ways to men and women through their circumstances. He still works that way today. Situations differ, but our God does not change. He uses everyday life to reveal errors in thinking, to open or close doors of opportunity, and to prove His promises true.

Others. Pastors, friends, and mentors can all speak truth into a person’s life. The Lord places believers in community so they can be supported and helped by those nearby. He doesn’t hesitate to send a message from the mouth of someone we know and trust.

God does not use just one or two of these methods to reach a believer; He speaks through all four. We need to attune our spiritual ears, always remembering that a message from the Lord must agree with His holy Word. The Father is talking to you. Are you listening?

God Of The Small Things Too by Joseph Prince
John 21:9, 12Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread… Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.

Like many parents, Wendy and I pray for our daughter Jessica every night before she sleeps. When Jessica was two years old, we decided to pray that her diapers would not overflow during the night. Her diapers not overflowing might be a small thing, but we knew that it would give our little girl a comfortable sleep every night. And after we started praying for this, we noticed that her diapers did not overflow.

That incident made me realize that our God is not just interested in the big things that affect us. He bothers and cares about the minor things that affect us too. There is nothing too insignificant for Him. So don’t be like some religious people who have this idea that God only wants us to bring the big issues to Him, and that He doesn’t want us to bother Him with small issues.

Nothing could be further from the truth. God cares about everything that you experience, from the small ulcer in your mouth to your concerns about the world’s economy. Even when you tell Him about the inconvenience that might arise if the bus is late, He takes note of that too. In fact, when you come to Him often about anything and everything in your daily life, you compliment Him because you are telling Him that He is your Daddy God who watches over you.

Jesus represented the Father’s heart and will when He was on earth. (John 5:19) He cared when His disciples were out at sea the whole night, cold and shivering. He cared when they caught nothing that night. (John 21:3) He cared that they would not have fish to sell. So He gave them a huge catch early the next morning. (John 21:5–6) He knew that they were cold and hungry, so He prepared breakfast for them, served over a fire of coals to keep them warm.

Jesus showed us that God is our loving heavenly Father who cares about the big and small things that happen every day in our lives. Nothing escapes God’s eyes because He loves you!

Thought For The Day

God is not just interested in the big things that affect us. He bothers and cares about the small things too.

You Are MINE and I Am Yours by Deborah Waldron Fry
Beloved. There is a religious spirit attempting to discourage My Body. It is a fleshy, critical spirit. It wants to critique your walk with Me. It desires to steal your confidence in Me. It tries to distort My Word so that instead of freedom, you are back into bondage and a slave to fear.

It wants to destroy your enthusiasm and your zeal for the things of the Spirit. For if this evil spirit can convince you that you are not all that My Word says you are, he has won the battle. But I tell you this, Dear One. I am leading you by My Spirit.

I am speaking to you by My Spirit. I am protecting you by My Spirit. GREATER is He who is in you than he who is in the world. This is truth. You have been chosen and raised up for such a time as this. Listen not to the voice of discouragement. Listen not to the critical voice who tells you I am not pleased with you. You have been MADE the righteousness of God in Christ. You have been saved to the uttermost.

Fear not! I always come to your defense. You are MINE and I am yours. Who shall bring any charge against My elect? It is I alone who justifies you. Do not listen to the voice of condemnation, Dear One. You are accepted in the Beloved. I delight in you, My Child. Know this, My Love. When this spirit criticizes you, it is really criticizing Me. Fear not, but be confident of this:"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
............................................................
...2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath MADE Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be MADE the righteousness of God in Him.

... Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

...1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.

...1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world

...1 John 2:26I have written these things to you concerning those leading you astray. 27And you, the anointing that you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But just as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught you, you shall abide in Him.

...Romans 8:33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

...Ephesians 1: 6To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.

You’re His Witness Today by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).

The apostles in the early Church demonstrated so much power and excellence of the Spirit as they proclaimed the Gospel and turned many to righteousness. Preceding their exploits and spiritual feats was the fulfilled promise from Jesus, which we read in our opening verse. That was their secret and unparalleled advantage: the Holy Spirit coming to live in them.

Take for example, Peter who hitherto, out of fear, denied Jesus before a young girl; after he received the Holy Spirit, the same Peter fearlessly preached the Gospel to a teeming crowd with three thousand souls giving their hearts to Christ at once (Acts 2:41).

The same thing happened with the Apostle Paul after he received the Holy Spirit. Acts 9:20 tells us he went straight to the synagogues and began to preach that Jesus was the Son of God. In 1 Corinthians 2:4, he said, “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.” He so demonstrated the power of God that on the Island of Malta, the natives concluded that he was a god (Acts 28:1-6).

Today, the same Holy Spirit lives in you. He came to make you a witness of the glory, power and the reality of the Kingdom of God. 2 Corinthians 3:6 (AMPC) says, “[It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ….” Preach the Gospel fearlessly, and while at it, the Holy Spirit will lead, guide, and energize you; He’ll put power in your words. Just as He did with the early apostles, He’ll confirm the message with indisputable signs, wonders and miracles (Mark 16:20).

This is your day. This is your time. The apostles have gone to heaven. We’re the ones on the scene now, chosen to make known the glories, excellence, virtues and perfections of Christ to the world. Hallelujah!

PRAYER Dear heavenly Father, I’m so grateful for making me an effective witness of your power, glory and grace to the world. I take my place as an effective minister of the Gospel, delivering sinners from darkness to light, and from sin unto righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Message:
Blessings and curses are two of the most powerful forces on earth, even though they function in opposite ways. When present in any life, either of them can seriously affect the destiny of their recipient. Psalm 37:22 says,

“For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.”

What does this mean? It means that if God blesses you, there is nothing you desire that you cannot get. This is why I am amazed whenever I come across some of my children and they say to me, “Daddy, please pray for me”, and when I respond saying “God bless you”, they still ask me to further pray for them. I tell such people that I have already prayed the greatest prayer anyone can pray for them, because if God blesses someone, all his or her problems will be over. As a user of this devotional, I say to you, God bless you!

Proverbs 10:22 reveals the power of the blessings that God gives; it says,

“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

If you are blessed of the Lord, you will definitely inherit the earth. You will have all you want. However, if you are cursed by God, you will find out that when God curses a person, that fellow will sooner or later become desolate. What is a curse? A curse is an invitation to all the forces in heaven, on earth and underneath the earth to combine forces and resources to work against a person, until he or she is completely destroyed. So when an individual is cursed, demons, men, animals and even the elements will work against that fellow. Let us consider the example of Rachael in Genesis 31:31-35.

After Jacob served Laban, he finally left to return home. Then came Laban in hot pursuit after Jacob, and he caught up with him. Laban then said to him, “You have taken my two daughters and my cattle, and now you have equally stolen my idols.” Jacob denied stealing the idols and said whoever stole them should die. Unknown to him, his beloved wife Rachel had stolen these idols and sat on them. They checked everywhere but the idols were not found. Jacob thereafter left Laban in annoyance. Later on, in Genesis 35:16-19, shortly after delivering her next child, Rachel died. The curse her husband had pronounced eventually worked against her. May you not use your own mouth to undo yourself or members of your family in Jesus’ Name!

Key Point
A curse makes a person the target of negative forces.

The First Missionary By Billy Graham
Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.—Matthew 4:19

Jesus Himself was the first missionary! He did not sit by passively and let those who happened to be interested in His teaching come to Him. He went out where the sick, the sorrowing, and the sad were, and expounded His message of joy, healing, and salvation. Even at a tender age, He went to the Temple and “taught” the doctors and lawyers who were entrenched in the old traditions. He found His way to the seaside and intruded upon the life of the commonest of laborers, saying, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Wherever He went He challenged, uprooted, and changed men. And at length they nailed Him to a cross because He had upset their selfish, secure, smug way of life. Not only was Jesus a missionary, but He pledged His followers to be missionaries, too!

Listen: Billy Graham preaches on the cost of not following Jesus.

Prayer for the day
Wherever I go, it is a mission field for You, Lord. Help me to be conscious of this, so that I may tell others the joyous message.

Perseverance Gets Results by Kenneth Copeland
I tell you, although he will not get up and supply him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his shameless persistence and insistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.Luke 11:8, The Amplified Bible

If, as God tells us in 1 Timothy 2:4, it’s His will for all men to be saved, why aren’t we seeing more of the masses of lost people born again every day? Have you ever wondered that?

I have...and as I’ve sought the Lord about it, I’ve come to realize that, for the most part, it’s because those of us who are already saved don’t pray persistently for those who aren’t. Instead of persevering—staying before the Father, praying for them to receive the bread of salvation—like the man in Luke 11:8 did for his friend, when we don’t see immediate results, we simply give up and go home.

What we don’t realize is this: Perseverance is the key to success in intercession!

Why? It’s certainly not because you have to change God’s mind. He never changes. His mind’s made up. He wants all men saved. The reason you have to persevere in intercession is to put pressure on the demonic forces that are trying to keep God’s will from being accomplished. Those forces must be broken down through prayer so that strongholds are destroyed and spiritual blinders are removed from the spiritual eyes of the people you’re praying for.

You see, God will not go against the will of any person. But He will move through your intercession to reveal Himself to them. Through your persistent prayers, He will bring them to the knowledge of their need for Him. Then they’ll reach out for Him and spiritual rebirth can take place!

If you’re sitting around waiting on God to save Aunt Mary or Uncle Jim or your best friend...stop sitting around! Get busy interceding for them. Persevere in prayer. Pray the prayer in Ephesians 1:16-23 for them, refusing to give up until they’re safely inside God’s kingdom.

Jesus has already laid down His life so that they can be saved. The question is, will you?

The Same Measure of Fire by Tammy Lang Jensen
The grapes are ripe on the vine with no one to harvest them. I need more workers in the field, with caring hearts and willing hands. The time will come, says the Lord, when grain and grapes will grow faster than they can be harvested (Amos 9:13). Shall the harvest spoil on the vine, shall they fall to the ground and return to dust.

I need never say die warriors, people willing to stretch themselves. Giving up a little sleep here, a bag of groceries there. And before long I have an abundance of people and supplies. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up 12 basketfuls a broken pieces that were left over (Matthew 14:20). We serve a God that can do a lot with a little. David was small in stature, yet defeated Goliath. We serve a God of the impossible. Jesus looked at them and said, with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:21).

The only difference between us and the mighty saints of the Bible - FAITH! I think God has poured out the same measure of fire, power, and ability on us all. The differences are our gifts and the measure of faith we have to put them to work. For by the grace given me I say to everyone of you: do not think of yourself more highly then you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you (Romans 12:3). Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord's anger (Zephaniah 2:3). Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5).

I command you this day, do not stir up discontent among your brethren, walk humbly on this earth. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God (Matthew 5:9). Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:3). Rather poor, tired, or downcast; all can do I work for God. Hammer your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into Spears. Train even your weaklings to be warriors (Joel 3:10)....

What to Do with Unused Ability by Rick Warren
“When the master comes and finds the servant doing his work, the servant will be blessed” (Luke 12:43 NCV).

All of us have unused abilities. But there are three ways that you can start cultivating your abilities so that they are being used for good and for God’s glory.

1. Estimate your abilities.

Do an assessment of your life. Do an audit of your abilities. What are you good at? Make a list. If there’s one thing I could say to young people today to prepare for their future, this is it: Know your strengths. Know your weaknesses. Consider the capabilities God has given you.

Parents, help your kids understand their SHAPE — their Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences. Your children have far more abilities than they think.

2. Dedicate your abilities.

Commit them to God for the use he intended. Romans 12:1b says, “Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him” (GNT). Say, “God, you gave me these abilities. Now I’m going to give them back to you. I want to use them for the purpose for which you gave them to me.”

3. Cultivate your abilities.

That means practice, improve, sharpen, and develop. Any ability that God has given you can be increased with use. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 10:10, “If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success” (NIV).

How do you get skill? Practice. God says you need to sharpen your ax. A dull ax takes more energy. He says to work smarter, not harder. Sharpening your abilities — your aptitudes, your skills — is a spiritual responsibility.

God has invested enormously in you. First, he created you. Second, he shaped you with spiritual gifts and personality. Then he sent Jesus to die for you. God has made an incredible investment in your life! And he expects a return on the investment. He’s going to ask you one day, “What did you do with what you were given? How did you use your abilities to honor me, to serve others, to make a living, and to be an example? How did you use them to help other people?”

In Luke 12:43, Jesus said, “When the master comes and finds the servant doing his work, the servant will be blessed” (NCV). I want you to have that blessing. I want God to find you using your abilities in the ways that he intended.

Prayer –

Take time to thank God right now. Thank him for the abilities he’s given you. Say, “God, I don’t even know all the abilities I’ve got, but I thank you for them. Help me to discover them. Today I dedicate them back to you. I want to use what you’ve given me for your purposes. I want to cultivate my abilities. I want to get better at what I’m doing. I want to honor you by being the best I can be. I want to use my abilities to honor you, to serve others, to make a living, and to be an example. I want to use my abilities to have money to share with those who are poor and to help my church grow and reach out. Help me to make it so. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Living in Contentment by Joel Osteen
"…I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances."(Philippians 4:11, NIV)

TODAY'S WORD:
In life, it’s easy to get so focused on our dreams and goals, the things we want, that it consumes us. We can get to the point where we’re not happy, and we’re not going to be happy until it happens. But I’ve found that if we have to have something in order to be happy, our lives are out of balance. When our goals and dreams start to frustrate us, and we lose our peace and we’re not enjoying life, that’s a sure sign that we’re holding on too tightly. What’s the solution? You’ve got to release it. Freedom comes when you say, “God, I’m turning it all over to You. You know my desires, and You know what’s best for me. I’m choosing to trust You and Your timing.”

When we learn to be content whatever the circumstances, the power of the enemy is broken. It takes away his ability to frustrate us. Not only that, but by our actions we are showing our faith in God. When you choose to trust in His timing, you can live in peace, you can live in joy, and you can rest in Him, knowing that He has good things in store for your future!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Heavenly Father, today I choose to trust in You. I release frustration over the dreams and desires in my heart, knowing that You know what’s best for me. I choose to trust in Your timing because You are faithful, and I will bless You in all things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Proverbs 26:2—Like a flitting a sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight.

Every Curse Has A Cause
Part Two—

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me” the first commandment.   Exodus 20:45 also says, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image that’s a statue, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath…for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me” Exodus 20:45.  Four generations—that’s 160 years.  God says if you have in your home a statue of any other god, you hate him.  That’s strong.  Jesus said the same thing.  He said if you’re not for me, you’re against me.  You cannot be on both sides of this issue.

There was a woman in my church years ago whose life was a living nightmare.  Everything she put her hand to, collapsed.  She thought she was jinxed.  Those were her words.  She asked me to come to her house and talk to her.  I went to her house; it was filled with statues of dragons.  The Bible says that Satan is “that old dragon, the devil.”  I said, “Lady, it is my belief that if you recognize Satan in any way—with statues, with the occult, with witchcraft, with Ouija boards, with mind control, with Eastern  philosophies—then Satan has a legal right for his demon powers to live in your house.  He has a legal right to claim you life, your soul and your children.  She threw those dragons out and her life turned around immediately, permanently and for the good, because she obeyed the Lord.

It is not enough to recognize God as the first and greatest god.  You must recognize him as the only God.  He is either Lord of all, or He’s not Lord at all.

The Expression of Faith by Dr. Charles Stanley
Mark 11:20-24

If you made a request of God and then time passed without results, it is understandable you might start wondering if He ever heard you at all. Do you remember thinking, What happened, Lord? You said that if I asked in faith, You would do it. Didn’t You hear me?

Stop to consider this question: Can you think of a time you brought a petition to the Lord and it apparently went unanswered? What was the situation? What did you pray about it? What did you say to others about it? What did you do about it?

I believe one of the most common reasons we experience a crisis of faith is that our words and our attitude get out of line with each other. We tell ourselves that we are praying to the heavenly Father, seeking His will, and requesting His intervention, but what we’re really doing is just complaining to Him.

We say, “Lord, I really messed this up” or “I don’t deserve this.” We might pray, “How did this happen?” Or perhaps we even cry, “How did You let this happen?” We moan about the situation, reveling in every ounce of anguish, and then petition God to fix it. Is this a prayer that honors God?

In Mark 11:24, Jesus explains that if we ask for something, we should believe in our hearts that it has already been granted. This level of faith is found not in our whines but in our praises. God absolutely wants us to cry out to Him and to lay our petitions at His feet (1 Pet. 5:7). But we must be careful to do so in a way that focuses on God’s glory—not our own.

Bible in One Year: Ezekiel 13-16

God's Purpose by Jerry Savelle
God opens doors of opportunities for each and every one of us everyday to serve Him in a greater capacity. But He doesn’t open these doors of opportunity for no reason. God always has a purpose for what He does.

Why does He give us these opportunities? So that He will be glorified in everything we do. He wants us to be blessed so we can be a blessing. God wants us to be able to help others. When we can do that, it brings glory to Him. It makes Him look attractive to the world.

Someone once said that the secret to success is to be ready for the opportunities that come into your life. I believe that God wants us to become more sensitive to the opportunities that are being presented to us.

I have seen people come to meetings where the Word of God is being preached and do nothing with it. And yet, there are others who sit in the same meetings, experience the same anointing, hear the same Word, and they seize the opportunity to apply it to their lives. If you examine their lives a year later, you see their lives are better. They have progressed, and the blessing of God is abounding at a greater level in their lives. However, the lives of the people who did nothing with the message are the same as, or worse than, before.

The difference is that some chose to seize the opportunity of the Word and some did not. Which one will you be today? Remember, God always has a purpose. He has a plan when He presents you with opportunities. Be still and hear His voice.”

Confession: “I will glorify God in everything I do today!”

Christ and The Child of Day by Deborah Waldron Fry
As I was ministering today to someone who has suffered many hurts and abuses in the past, Holy Spirit showed me something. I saw how we are all born in need of a Savior because of the fall of Adam. Even in childhood, people in our lives make bad and evil decisions that can affect us for a long long time.

Before Jesus comes into our lives, we are all connected to darkness and death. I saw this connection as a dead ugly black cord. But wait! Here is the GOOD news! In a vision, I saw a person accept Jesus as their Savior. I saw angels come and SEVER the connection to the past, death, the devil and sin.

These new Believers were then connected to the Father by the the Holy Spirit through the Blood of Jesus. I saw this connection as a SILVER cord, like an umbilical cord, nourishing the Child of God with HIS LIFE and LIGHT. Silver is the color of REDEMPTION. This connection can never be broken and remains until the person dies and his spirit returns to God.

I saw the Believer as two separate beings. The one before Jesus and the one after. The one before the cross and the one after the Cross. The dead had passed away, the New Life had come! The Child of the night and darkness had died with Christ and the Child of day and the Light was created by the Hand of God and raised up ALIVE in Him! You have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer you who lives, but Jesus Christ living in you! How can we fail, Beloved? Amen? :D
And I heard this word for you:

"Beloved. Do not grieve and weep over things in the past. Behold, old things are passed away, all things have become new. I have dissolved all ties to the devil. You are united with Me. We have a NEW covenant, My Child, made by the Blood of the Lamb. You are a NEW creation in Christ Jesus. I have severed all connections between you and the devil and his evil deeds. You are now hidden with Christ in your Father God. We have a SECURE connection that can never be broken. We are One. You are totally separated from your old man. You have died to the old man you once were, Dear One. He is dead and buried. Let NOT the past haunt you any longer, My Child.

You are now MY workmanship, and I have pronounced over you," VERY GOOD". I am the Vine and you are the branch. You abide in Me now. I nourish you and sustain you. Though you once walked in darkness, now you walk in My Light and NEWNESS of Life. The only connection that remains to your past and your old man is in your mind, My Love. So keep your mind on things above. See yourself as you are seen in Heaven. The angels are rejoicing over you, to see this great thing that has been done. You are altogether beautiful, My love; there is no flaw in you. As I am, so are you in this world. Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? You have been united with Me. We are One in Spirit. I in you and you in Me, we are perfectly One. I am yours, and you are Mine. Rejoice, Beloved, and mourn no longer. You are safe with Me, now and forevermore. I make all things NEW."

Severed:1.Legal term: to break off or dissolve (ties, relations, etc.) 2. disunite 3. To cut off (a part) from a whole: 3. break or interrupt: sever a cord; 4.To break up (a relationship, for example)
...Ecclesiates 12:6Remember Him before the silver cord is broken and the golden bowl is crushed, the pitcher by the well is shattered and the wheel at the cistern is crushed; 7then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

...2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

...Behold, all things are become new - The man is not only mended, but he is new made; he is a new creature, καινη κτισις, a new creation, a little world in himself; formerly, all was in chaotic disorder; now, there is a new creation, which God himself owns as His workmanship, and which He can look on and pronounce very good. Adam Clarke commentary

...Therefore if any man be in Christ - The phrase to “be in Christ,”means to be united to Christ by faith; or to be in Him as the branch is in the vine - that is, so united to the vine, or so in it, as to derive all its nourishment and support from it, and to be sustained entirely by it. Albert Barnes commentary

...Colossians 3:3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

...Galatians 2:19For through the Law I died to the Law so that I might live to God. 20I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. 21I do not set aside the grace of God. For if righteousness comes through the Law, Christ died for nothing.”

...Romans 6:4 We therefore were buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.

...Luke 15:10 In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.(born again)

...Colossians 1:22 But now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence.

...1 Corinthians 6:17 17But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit.

...John 17:20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, 21that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be IN US, so that the world may believe that you have sent Me. 22The glory that you have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one even as We are one, 23I in them and You in Me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them even as You loved Me."

...Song of Solomon 4:7 You are altogether beautiful, My love;there is no flaw in you

Using your faith is God's method for victory over the enemy and all the evil things of this world. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God. When we believe God's Word in faith we experience healing, deliverance, prosperity and more.. In Proverbs 28:29 it says “…that a faithful man shall abound in blessings.” Doesn't this sound good to you? It does to me! So don’t let go of your faith! Do whatever it takes to continue to increase your faith - listen, read, meditate on God's Word and stay focused on Him.

There’s More Grace For You by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble (James 4:6).

Grace is the supernatural influence at work in you that causes everything you do to prosper; it’s a divine enablement that causes increase, promotion, and progress! However, the degree to which you let the grace of God in you reflect on the outside is up to you. The more you fill your heart with God’s Word and have the Holy Spirit work in your life, the greater the workings of grace in your life.

You can and should increase in that outward reflection of the glory of God in your spirit, to such an extent that others would see it and testify to it. They might not be able to explain it, but they’ll glorify God for His excellence that’s resplendent in you, and in all you do.

Some Christians are asking God for more anointing, but there’s nowhere in the Bible where it’s stated that God will give you more anointing. All you need is more grace. More grace gives you more capacity to accomplish or do more. As you succeed and make progress, God expands your coast; He increases your ability. Hallelujah!

Perhaps you’ve been managing a business at a certain scale, and now you want to grow it to be ten times or even a hundred times bigger, you need more grace. Otherwise, you may not be able to sustain the new level of growth and increase, because you don’t have the capacity to manage the business at that level. Some people think that in such circumstances what they need is more money, no; they need more grace.

Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need .” Which grace do you want? Is it the grace for healing? Is it the grace for multiplication in your business? Is it the grace for winning souls? Do you require more grace to increase your finances? God says to come boldly to the throne of grace, and obtain the grace you need. Take it. You don’t need to ask; it’s yours to take.

You can take advantage of that grace right now and rebuke cancer from your body. Take advantage of that grace right now and walk out of that ailment. Glory to God!

PRAYER Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the grace that’s in Christ Jesus. Now, more than ever, I take advantage of this grace to do exploits for the Kingdom of God. As I meditate on your Word, your grace is being multiplied in my life, and my capacity to achieve more feats for the Kingdom is increased, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Open Heavens: Divine Wisdom by Pastor E. A. Adeboye
Memorize:
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraifeth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5

Read: Daniel 1:18-20 (KJV)
1:18 Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

1:19 And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.

1:20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

Message:
Wisdom is the quality of discerning what is true, what is ethically right, and what should be done in different situations. Wisdom is fundamentally practical in nature. Although God alone possesses wisdom in the absolute sense, as benevolent God, He is willing to give His wisdom to all those who seek it in humble reverence (James 1:5). We see the wisdom of God manifested in the work of creation and in the provision of redemption from sin through Jesus Christ. Divine wisdom refers to the abilities given by God in every area of life including recognising and applying the provision of salvation through Christ Jesus, craftsmanship, knowledge and insight for right decisions in life, and several others. Divine wisdom cannot be received by those who put their confidence in worldly wisdom, which is based on human cleverness and insight without God’s revelation. God considers this human kind of wisdom to be foolishness. It may produce temporary success in life, but this will come to nothing on the long run. 1st Corinthians 3:19-20 says,

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.”

Worldly wisdom builds pride and false hope in people, so much so that it makes them arrogate success to themselves to the exclusion of the Almighty God (Proverbs 26:12, Isaiah 47:10). In Isaiah 29:14, God has declared that worldly wisdom shall perish.

Wisdom has its roots in knowledge. Wisdom is the ability to correctly make use if acquired knowledge. Divine wisdom leads to proper conduct because it is built on the fear of God (Job 28:28). One of the dimensions that the Holy Spirit operates in is wisdom (Isaiah 11:2). Those who desire to possess divine wisdom will therefore need to cultivate an intimate relationship with Him (Proverbs 1:20-26). The Holy Spirit can fill a man’s heart with divine wisdom through the diligent study of God’s word (Psalms 19:7). He can also give divine wisdom through revelation. This revelation can come in the place of observing how others live their lives, or through the study of nature. Wisdom may also be received as a result of practical experiences of life and from parental guidance. Divine wisdom can only be received by those who are willing to give up all reliance on their own human insight and understanding. As you seek for divine wisdom by one or a combination of ways mentioned here, God will answer you and fill you up with His divine wisdom in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point:
Father, please teach me Your ways and lead me through the path of wisdom in Jesus’ Name.

Put Your Spirit in Charge by Gloria Copeland
So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer...but the Spirit Himself...pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.Romans 8:26, The Amplified Bible

As long as you live on this earth, you’re going to be saddled with a weakness. What is it? The flesh and blood body you live in. It’s a body that’s subject to death. A body that’s subject to the physical world around you.

Your reborn spirit doesn’t want to sin. It wants to be completely obedient to God. But the weakness of the flesh causes you to fall prey to the temptations around you.

Does that mean you’re doomed to a life of failure till Jesus comes and that flesh body is glorified?

No! It means you need to build your spirit up, to strengthen it, until it dominates your flesh. We are told to crucify the flesh. Your spirit man must dominate your body. Praying in the spirit by the Holy Spirit applies spirit to flesh. It causes your spirit to rise up and take charge. Just like using barbells strengthens your arms, praying in other tongues strengthens your spirit. You see, your spirit is more powerful than your flesh, and as you give it outflow, the flesh will simply have to yield to it. Most believers don’t understand that. They’ll be overwhelmed by some sin, and instead of conquering it by the things of God such as praying in the spirit, they’ll simply keep struggling to overcome in natural ways. So they end up failing again and again.

If you’re caught in that cycle, take heart! God hasn’t commanded you to be more spiritual than you can be. He knows your weakness and He’s given you a way to overcome it. He’s given you the ability to pray in tongues—and with your understanding to wield the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. And no matter how badly you’re failing in everything else, you can do these things!

Be warned though, Satan will try to talk you out of it. He knows that once you learn how to bring the flesh in line, he’ll have no foothold left in your life. You’ll shut the door on him and he won’t be able to get in.

Renew your commitment to praying in the spirit today. Make a quality decision to follow the command God gives in Jude 20 and “build yourselves up…on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit” (The Amplified Bible)!

Hope Beyond Death By Billy Graham
The righteous hath hope in his death.—Proverbs 14:32

We don’t like to talk about death; it’s the forbidden subject of our generation. Yet it’s real for all of us. Sometimes on television I see motion pictures featuring actors who are no longer living. They seem very much alive in the picture, but they are dead. Some of them were my personal friends. Death is real, and when we die, that is a battle we have to fight all alone. Nobody can be with us in that hour, but David said he had found an answer that would take the fear of death away. David said that there is an answer to death, there is a hope beyond death. That hope is centered in the risen Christ. Paul wrote that to be “absent from the body” is to be “present with the Lord.” So the fear of death is removed.

Prayer for the day
Lord Jesus, with complete trust I look toward that day when my soul will be with You for eternity.

The Spider Web by Tammy Lang Jensen
As I was seeking the Father this morning. I was thinking how being covered in fresh oil helps us from getting tangled in any trap the enemy might set.

Then I started thinking about the spider and his web, and was going to use the comparison. Quickly the Father said, go read the facts! Were you aware that it is a myth that spiders have oil so they don't stick to their web. Actually hidden in the web are parts that are not sticky, and only the spider knows where. Father said, that is how it is with my children.

So many believing hearsay and myths, instead of reading the facts. Listening to others, instead of picking up the Bible. My words are alive and active, and will teach you all you need to know. And just like the spider with his web, the Father knows where the enemy has set traps for you, that you do not see. "And that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will" (2 Timothy 2:26).

Won't you let the Father guide you, get quiet and listen to the Holy Spirit. Learn to love the word of God. "In The beginning was the word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God " (John 1:1). So don't be quick to pass on information, unless your sure you know the facts. Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on a solid rock (Matthew 7:24). Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "THE LORD KNOWS THOSE WHO ARE HIS,"and "Everyone Who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."(2 Timothy 2:19)....
