God Placed A Curse Upon Man
When Adam and Eve sinned by partaking of the forbidden frit, God spoke a curse into existence. He placed a curse upon the ground, saying thorns and thistles would grow; for that reason, until this very day, you can grow Johnson grass in the middle of 20 acres of asphalt when you can’t grow wheat in the middle of a plowed field.
God said, “You will earn your living by the sweat of your brow.” Welfare is against the plan of God. It was then and it is now. A man who does not work should not eat. Then there’s a curse upon woman. God said, “Your sorrow shall be multiplied in conception and your desire shall be unto your husband.” The Hebrew word translated desire does not mean sexual desire. It means that the woman’s desire to rule in the home will be subordinated to the man’s spiritual authority. The feminist movement is an open attack on God’s spiritual authority for the home.
God also placed a curse upon the serpent, “You will crawl on your belly in the dirt for the rest of your days.” The curse upon Satan also said that the seed of the woman would crush and head of the serpent. That happened at Calvary. When Jesus Christ, the seed of the woman, went to the cross of Calvary, he crushed the head of Satan. He came to break the curse of sin and Satan, to pull down the powers and the principalities of darkness.
