But the Lord said to him, go, for he is the chosen instrument of mine to bear my name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; for I will show him how much he must suffer for my name's sake (Acts 9:13-16).
Has God ever sent you on an assignment, and you really did not want to go. And if you do go out of obedience, have you counted the cost? We see these great and mighty men and women of the Bible. We say Father God, I want to be greatly anointed like them. However, somehow we missed all the pain, rejection, loss, and spiritual warfare they endured. So again I ask, have you counted the cost? Tried and true saints are ready no matter the cost. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to worship the golden idol.
And these three men Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace (Daniel 3:23). Are you trusting God to walk you through the flames, to come out without even the smell of smoke (Daniel 3:27). Daniel was thrown into the lions den, and waited for God to deliver him (Daniel 6:16). Have you grown weary in the waiting, do you need a touch from God? Then he continued, do not be afraid Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me for 21 days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me ....(Daniel 10:12-13). The Lord is saying, "Hold On" Michael is on the way! Don't you dare give up when victory is around the corner. Victory is mine, saith the Lord, VICTORY IS MINE....
