It Is Not Good For Man To Be Alone by John Hagee
Ecclesiastes 4:8—There is one alone, without companion: He has neither son nor brother. Yet there is no end to all his labors, Nor is his eye satisfied with riches. But he never asks, "For whom do I toil and deprive myself of good? This also is vanity and a grave misfortune.
It Is Not Good For Man To Be Alone
Just like Adam, Solomon described a man who needed a companion, not just to help him through life, but also to help him enjoy the fruits of his labor.  The husband and wife are the first union necessary to build a family and produce offspring according to God’s design.  Then the parents and the children together form the basic building block of society.  Solomon said that children are a gift from God or a “reward”—the “heritage of the Lord”—and that a man’s children are to him like a quiver full of arrows in the hands of a warrior.

Parents have an obligation to raise their children in a godly home according to godly principles, and children have an obligation to honor their parents and care for them in old age, just as the parents cared for the children when they were helpless and dependent.  Most of the problems in our society stem from the failure of the family unit to operate as God intended it.
