If you have yourself on a healthy diet, you might drink orange juice for vitamin C, potassium, and folic acid. And if you are on a healthy spiritual diet, you daily need the word of God. For the word of God is alive and active, and as King James so eloquently puts it.

For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and as a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). God always knows the intent of your heart. Choose to be honest with him today. If you’re sorrowful, asked for love; if you’re angry, ask for peace.

Which of you fathers if your son ask for a fish, will give him a snake instead? (Luke 11:11). I have been young, and now I am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread (Psalm 37:25). But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). What have you done for your spiritual health today? Pray, open your Bible, watch a good teaching video. If we are going to defeat the enemy, we must have knowledge of our weapons.

In real life battle, we would never send a soldier to war with a gun he was never trained to use. Why would you go up against the enemy, and not fully educate yourself of your arsenal. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children (Hosea 4:6). Teach me your way lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). The more you read your Bible, the more you understand the simple truth hidden inside. Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3). The Bible is your roadmap, to guide you safe along your path. Your word is a lamp to my feet, a light on my path (Psalm 119:105).

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (John 1:5). Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed (John 3:20). Let the light of God illuminate your path, let the word of God fill your mouth. Just the mention of his name, demons must flee....
