The Lion of the tribe of Judah is roaring jealously over you. In competition with your phone, your hobbies, your life.
He says, return to the quiet-place, come to the inner sanctuary. I will meet you in the garden, I will teach you of great delights.
Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night (Psalm 1:2). The Father delights in his children. Don’t be afraid, Little Flock, because your Father delights to give you the kingdom (Luke 12:32). The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him (Proverbs 23:24).
How much more does your Father in heaven delight in you when you get it right. For the eyes of Yahweh roam throughout the earth to show himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His. You have been foolish in this matter. Therefore, you will have wars from now on (2 Chronicles 16:9). We serve a God who is kind, generous, patient and gracious. However, he wants us to realize actions have consequences, that we are often not prepared for. What could you have done better this week?
What can you aspire to do better next week? Be a person of excellence, walking with honor and integrity. So that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly (Matthew 6:4). Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you (Luke 6:38).
With the holidays quickly approaching, find a good deed to do, volunteer, support a charity. And your Father will see from heaven and weep tears of JOY over you....
