The Cedars of Lebanon by Tammy Lang Jensen
I am reminded this morning of the beautiful large pine trees we have here in Texas. But we also have something called a bark beetle.

Very small and it’s invasion of the tree is almost unnoticeable to the naked eye at first. But eventually, the bark begins to fall away from the tree. Before long, the tree is dead but continues to stand tall and straight.

And sometimes it takes years but when I big enough storm comes through, the tree comes crashing down. Has the beetle eaten away at the inside of you today? The trees of the Lord are well cared for— The Cedars of Lebanon that he planted (Psalm 104:16). Are you planted with the Lord today, by brooks of living water. Have your roots gone down deep in fertile soil, is your tree bearing fruit in season?

And he shall be like a tree planted by rivers of water, which yields fruit in its season. And it’s leaf does not wither. And then whatever he does, he prospers (Psalm 1:3). Will you offer shade for a man to sit in, or are you dry and barren with no leaf to show; only offering a hard place to lean upon. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.

When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead-end—-because I am God, your personal God, the Holy of Israel, your Savior (Isaiah 43:2-3). I beckon you to come grow in my garden, be a well watered vessel for my use. Guided by the word of God, bowed down beneath my love, girded about with the weight of truth, released with faith to soar above. Eagles glide on thermal winds, far above the storms and rain.

But there keen Eye sight allows them to recognize where their provision is. In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye. Like an eagle that stirs up it’s nest, and hovers over it’s young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft (Deuteronomy 32:10-11).

I want my children to trust me, and spread their wings and fly. Do you trust me? I will say it again....DO YOU TRUST ME!!!!
