The Clarion Call by Tammy Lang Jensen

Are you sowing your time, love and resources into this relationship. Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church, and gave up his life for her (Ephesians 5:25).

The Clarion Call by Tammy Lang Jensen
As things begin to wind up and you hear the TickTock of the clock. You feel the earth quake and groan.

Do you hear the clarion call on the wind: END TIME WARRIORS ARISE! But there is a second question lingering in the wind. Have I sent you a helpmate in this season? Have you been blessed with a husband or wife, that bravely stands at the gates of hell with you. Ready to rush in and grab souls at the last possible moment.

Are you sowing your time, love and resources into this relationship. Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church, and gave up his life for her (Ephesians 5:25). Wives, submit yourselves to your own husband as you do to the Lord (Ephesians 5:22). For this reason a man will leave his mother and father and be UNITED to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh (Ephesians 5:31). Are the two of you moving as one, hand-in-hand, like a beautiful dance. ; or have you dug a trench, hunkered down, waiting for the next attack of the enemy?

Whether your marriage is flourishing or floundering, it is a sacred union by God himself. There are tumultuous times ahead, and the enemy has a hard time defeating two that walk in agreement. Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so? (Amos 3:3). Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed (Ecclesiastes 4:9). If either of them falls down, one can help the other. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble (Ecclesiastes 4:10).

God is crying out, how can I trust you with my people, if I am unable to trust you with your spouse. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love (Ephesians 4:2-3). So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate (Matthew 19:6). There is a cry coming forth from heaven, return to your first love Jesus! But also a cry for morality, love, purity; sanctified for God’s work.

If God has made it so that you are married in this season. He has done it to strengthen you, not to make you weak. Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure for God will judge the adulterer and the sexually immoral. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, never will I leave you; never will I for sake you (Hebrews 13:4-5). Do you covet your job or your spouse. Do you love your life or your wife, do you joy at your house or your husband.

Do you have things in order: God, marriage/family, everything else....Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Will you be your spouses burden bearer, armor bearer, or have you just been a holy terror? Today is a new day, choose wisely....
