If we put a man on the moon, why is it so hard to put a man in heaven. Because humans struggle to believe what they cannot see.

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29). You have to see God with your heart, not your mind.

Your mind is at enmity with God all day long. But there is another law at work in my body, warring against the law of my mind, and making me captive to the law of sin being in my members (Romans 7:23). How do we crucify the flesh, quiet the mind, hear the heart, and break the chains that bind. We get quiet, read the word, reprogram our thought life. We guard our eye and ear gates, careful of what we hear and see.

There is so much information out there, Lord grant us the wisdom to know what is good and what is evil. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart (Matthew 12:35). Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life (Proverbs 4:23). Lord give us the wisdom to know when and how to believe. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:3). Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God (Matthew 5:8). You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know, “Heaven is Real!”

The Bible is full of ways to see it, know it, and feel it. You can’t see love, but if you have ever experienced it, you know it is real. You can’t see a virus germ with the naked eye, but if you have ever come in contact with it, I am sure you have felt the havoc it can wreak on the body. I may not see God every day, but I have certainly experienced his warmth and protection at certain times in my life. I have never seen Satan face-to-face, but have experienced his lies, confusion, chaos and smoke and mirrors at times in my life.

Then I remind myself of this simple truth. Satan is a liar, the father of lies, there is no truth in him. And God is not a man that he should lie. When posed with this question, truth, lie or consequence? I choose truth every time. The Lord and the enemy are in a constant battle over this world. Waging war with one another for souls. Isn’t it wonderful to know you can pray a simple prayer and assure your destination is heaven...
