“Here comes that dreamer!” they said to each other. “Come now, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him. Then we’ll see what comes of his dreams.”
When things go wrong year after year, you will experience a gamut of emotions, just as Jospeh (and many others in the Bible) did: rejection, betrayal, false accusation, bitterness, depression, a desire for revenge, hatred for those who have betrayed you, the agony of being forgotten by those you have helped. Satan will tell you things like, "If you're a child of God, your life couldn't possibly be this messed up." Don't listen! The night of depression is broken as you walk from the prison to the palace to be with the King.
Get beyond your heartbreaking setbacks to achieve your divine destiny. Go from bitterness to blessing, from tragedy to triumph, from devastation to re-creation in the hands of the Master.
Don't let emotions blind you and steal your love, joy, and peace. When you allow things (or people other than Christ) to become your obsession, they own you. And you will never find a true sense of completion until you live out the dream that Christ has placed in your heart.
