In my quiet time, I kept hearing the Father say, EXHORTATION, so I went and looked up the definition. Exhortation: An address or communication empathetically urging someone to do something; encouragement, persuasion, pressure....The Father has a heart to steer us all in the right direction, but we must have a heart to hear, yield and obey. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:6).
Yelding to the Father's hand can sometimes be a challenge. How we humans love to be in control, the captains of our lonely ship. Until the storms of life arrive to squarely knock us down. Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper (1 Kings 19:11-12).
It is in the quietness after the storm, that God will speak to us. If the storm rolled through and knocked the breath from you, and now all you hear is a death quiet (Psalm 106:29). My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord, in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up (Psalm 5:3). God is listening, are you calling? Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6).
Don't let the chaos of this world pull you in, there will always be something to worry about. But we serve a God of Shalom, who came to give us peace. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be trouble and do not be afraid (John 14:27). So we say with confidence, the Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Hebrews 13:6).... stand your ground, be Brave and Courageous, and walk Boldly with your God....
