God’s Instrument Of Divine Destiny by John Hagee

Mary’s reaction to the angel’s announcement that she was to be the mother of God was evidence of her strong faith and devotion to the Lord.

God’s Instrument Of Divine Destiny by John Hagee
Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.  And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.  He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.”  “For with God nothing will be impossible.”  Then Mary said, “Behold the maid servant of the Lord!  Let it be to me according to your word.” Luke 1:30-32, 37-38

Motherhood—God’s Instrument Of Divine Destiny
Mary’s reaction to the angel’s announcement that she was to be the mother of God was evidence of her strong faith and devotion to the Lord.  Though she knew she risked being put to death under the law of Moses, she rejected fear, shame, sorrow, regret, tears, secrecy, seclusion and the urge to run and hid.  Instead, she magnified the Lord and ran to tell Elizabeth, “I’m going to have a baby.”  She was able to rejoice because she knew the Lord and trusted His way and not the way of the world.
Mary is a pattern for godly mothers in today’s society where Satan wants to blast the family unit apart like a Fourth of July fireworks explosion in an effort to keep our children from reaching their divine destiny.  Just as the Enemy attempted to stop the birth of Christ Jesus, he is working hard to thwart God’s plans for America’s children with abortion and secular indoctrination.  But I thank God for mothers who choose life and raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, for like Mary, they can say:

My soul magnifies the LORD,
And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant;
For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
For He who is mighty has done great things for me,
And holy is His name.
And His mercy is on those who fear Him
From generation to generation.  Luke 1:46-50
