As I was spending time with the Lord, he showed me children playing a soccer game.
He said, How do you think they win the game?” I thought for a moment and said, “Some fancy footwork, making goals, and working well with their teammates.”
The Lord said this is true and works well for soccer. However, when dealing with the enemy you will need more than fancy footwork and great teammates. You will need to move when I say move, and wait when I say wait. You will need to listen for the unction of the Holy Spirit and have a firm foundation of Scripture. Remember, the angel hearken unto my word. Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word (Psalm 103:20).
The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision (Daniel 9:23). God is continually teaching and guiding us, showing us how we should pray. In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation (Psalm 5:3). Time to get your hopes up, raise your level of expectation. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us (1 John 5:14).
When you asked, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures (James 4:3). Lord, we cry out to you today. Search our hearts and make them pure. Teach us to know your will and give us revelation to press-in and pray about it. Lord, we do believe, but help us to overcome our unbelief. It tells us in your word. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective (James 5:16).
Woo us with your love, train us by your side. And as we keep our eyes on Jesus, let us send fire and scatter the enemies camp. You believe that there is one God; you do well: even the demons believe that, and tremble (James 2:19). Where you send me, I will go; and what you command, I will do! When the chief and commander sends you, he will protect you. It is that simple, Mighty Prayer Warriors.... Listen for his gentle whisper....
