Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.
Never rewrite your theology to accommodate a tragedy you are going through. I often hear people say things like, "Pastor, I can't find a godly man/woman, so marriage isn't for me." WRONG! God says it's not good for man to be alone. It was HIS idea for you to find someone.
Others make statements like, "The world is a madhouse, so I'm not going to have children." Let me again point to the Word of God, the greatest guidebook known to mankind which says that children are a heritage from the Lord. If it's in God's Word, it's for YOU. Start praying today that God will meet your need according to His Word. If you want to get married, have children, find the perfect job or continue pursuing your divine destiny, He is simply waiting for you to ask. Nothing is impossible to those who believe.
When God answers your prayer, don't be upset with Him that your spouse isn't everything you wanted. Remember, YOU are the one who made the final decision there. Start praying for God's will in your life and know that He will direct your path and bring you out to rich fulfillment.
