Don't Lay Down Your Sword by Tammy Lang Jensen
Many raise their hand when I ask for warriors. But few are able to carry their battle scars with Grace and honor. Some scars are obvious, and can be seen upon the flesh.

While others on the heart cannot be seen except by a discerning eye. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love one another (John 13:35).

You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (Matthew 7:16). Has the battle made you better or bitter? I have commanded those I prepared for battle; I have summoned my warriors to carry out my wrath-those who rejoice in my triumph (Isaiah 13:3). Do you rejoice with the Lord when you win a spiritual battle? Many of my Warriors are weary, showing signs of battle fatigue. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9).

Don't lay down your sword, for the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and morrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). If the word of God is this powerful, why do we find ourselves bone weary. Could it be we are fighting in our own strength, instead of letting God be God.... I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the one true living God. (Revelation 22:13). I am, and was, and I am to come....There is power in the name of Jesus! So Arise my MIGHTY WARRIORS.

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised (Hebrews 10:36). For you have girded me with strength for the battle; you have subdued under me those who rose up against me (Psalms 18:39). So remember this one simple thing: You are in a fixed fight, and you just can't lose! So when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground (Ephesians 6:13)....
