Who is able to advise the Spirit of the Lord? Who knows enough to give him advice or teach him (Isaiah 40:13).
Do we do this every morning when we decide what assignment we want for the day. Yes Lord, I can do this one thing here, but not that thing over there. Just trust the Holy Spirit, listen for his gentle voice.
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seem to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them (Acts 2:1-4).
Are we seeking every day, an upper room experience. Do we honestly go after, all the Father has for us. Do we cry out to Abba Father, for all nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. Are honestly, do we sometimes shrink back in fear, remembering this simple verse. But the one who did not know and did things deserving of blows will be beaten lightly. Much will be required of everyone who has been given much. And even more will be expected of the one who has been entrusted with more (Luke 12:48).
Oh, where are my brave and gallant warriors. The ones who will press in and seek me at all cost. Where are my generals, where on my Esther's, where are my armor bearer's. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly.
As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love (Ephesians 4:16). Before the foundations of the universe, God had you in mind. He picked a special job, that only you can fill. You have been divinely and uniquely made. I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations (Jeremiah 1:4-5). All you need is 10 seconds of insane courage. Just say YES to God today! And step into your unique place in the body of Christ....STEP OUT, STEP UP, STEP IN.....
