I was hearing this morning how every time we read the Bible, listen to our pastor, we are putting the word in our hearts, minds and souls. God called this equity! And just like equity in a house, you can draw on it in times of trouble.
For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock (Psalm 27:5). everything written in the Scriptures was written to teach us, in order that we might have hope through the patience and encouragement which the Scriptures give us (Romans 15:4).
Do you stand on the word when times are hard, do you put God in remembrance of his word? God keeps every promise he makes. He is like a shield for all who seek his protection (proverbs 30:5). For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with the resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means yes) ascends to God for his glory (2 Corinthians 1:20). Have you chosen the good portion that many have overlooked.
There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her (Luke 10:42). Sit and wait at the feet of Jesus, listen to all he has to tell you. Learn wisdom and knowledge from the Master. Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words are turn away from them (Proverbs 4:5). If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you (James 1:5).
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you (Matthew 7:7). Do you feel the portal of heaven opening, begin digging for the deeper things of God. For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her (Proverbs 8:11).
The foundation stones of the city wall were adorn with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was Jasper, the second Sapphire, the third chalcedony; The fourth, emerald (Revelation 21:19). Are you breaking through the garden gates, seeking the things of heaven. All you desire can be found in my word. All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Come to me with my word and I will teach you great and unsearchable things you know not....
