Past Hurts, Mistakes and Sins by Tammy Lang Jensen
I was shown a graveyard this morning. I heard the Father say, many are still living with the dead things of the past.

Continuing to dig up past hurts, mistakes and sins. Turning them over and over in their mind, paralyzed unable to move forward. He will again have compassion on us; he will vanquish our iniquities.

You will cast out all our sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19). You have cast our sin as far as the east is from the west. Whom the Son sets free, is free indeed. The glory of the Lord shall shine through the East gate, walk toward it. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead (Philippians 3:13). Sometimes our past can be a garbage dump.

Why would you continue to dig around in there when our Father in heaven has treasures laid up for you. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroy, and where thieves do not break in or steal (Matthew 6:20). Set your mind on things above, not things below. This earth will one day fade away, but the love of God endures forever. Come into the Master’s chambers, your safe hiding place. The Father longs to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings you cannot contain. However, you must be in position to receive.

If you are on the mountain, and the ravens take your provision to the river. You will miss the hand and the move of God. Have you positioned yourself to prosper, have you humbled yourself before the king. The one true living God wants to bless you. It is time to step into your Royal position. But you will have to sacrifice something.

You will have to leave your past behind. Lay it on the altar, let the fire of heaven turn it to dust and ash. I will bestow on you a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. You will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor (Isaiah 61:3)....
