He was on a cliff top with a breathtaking sunrise of gold, orange and purple in the background. It truly looked like the sky was on fire. However, what stood out to me was he didn’t even seem to notice it.
There was such passion, purpose and determination for what he was praying for. You could tell no amount of beauty or pleasure would lure him away. He recognized the urgency, time and season of what he interceded for. And as that prophet prayed, mountains crumble, seas parted, and angels came on the command of Jesus that day.
Bless the Lord, all his angels mighty in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word (Psalm 103:20). Speak to those things that be not as though they are. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16).
He will deliver one who is not innocent, and he will be delivered by the cleanness of your hands (Job 22:30). Keep your heart and mind pure, set them on things above, not things below. Pick up your cross and follow me. Pick up your staff and pray to me. Find your point of contact and seek me. Those who search for me will find me; and I am the greatest reward.
If you seek me with your whole heart, you will never be disappointed. Seek, fast and surrender....I will meet you at the mountain....
