Don't Be Covetous by Tammy Lang Jensen

Don't Be Covetous by Tammy Lang Jensen
Is the grass greener on the other side of the fence? Will you be content with what I have given you, or will you covet your neighbor‘s gift. You must not covet your neighbor‘s house.

You must not covet your neighbor‘s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor (Exodus 20:17).

You must purify your heart, and call forth your own gifts. Be willing to say, God if it’s not for me, I don’t want it. Many a man has been veered from his path, seeking the things of this world. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. (James 1:14). Our heart and mind are at war.

Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:13). We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). As I looked I saw the human mind, there was this golden glory swirling around it.

Suddenly, what appeared as gray matter oozed forward like concrete and created a barrier, a blockage to God. It was by faith that the people of Israel marched around Jericho for seven days and the walls came crashing down (Hebrews 11:30). The walls of Jericho must come down, what has exulted itself in your mind against God. For as he thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). If the spirit of fear seems to chase and torment you day and night.

Cast it out, say you are not welcome here anymore. So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).

So when that old devil comes prowling around, seeking to destroy you. Just tell him, God upholds me in His righteous right hand and the Bible tells me, resist the devil and he must flee. So put on the full armor of God, so in the day of evil you will be able to stand your ground. And having done all, TO STAND!!!!
