To lift the fallen, encourage the broken, and feed the hungry.

A Man In Need by Tammy Lang Jensen
Do you have a beggars purse? Something set aside for a man in need.

Does your kindness and generosity only extend to your family, or are you able to reach outside your circle. To lift the fallen, encourage the broken, and feed the hungry.

Will we embrace the unlovable, and run after the desperate. Now flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, charity, peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22). Do you have bread for the beggar? Do not eat the bread of a stingy man or crave his delicacies (Proverbs 23:6).

When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reach to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the foreigner residing among you. I am the Lord your God (Leviticus 23:22). Lord, teach me to have a hand to receive, but also a hand to give. To be honest and steadfast in my dealings with your people. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing (Matthew 6:3).

When you give, give in secret, so you cannot boast and therefore rob yourself of your heavenly blessings. Father of the fatherless and protector of the widows is God in his holy habitation (Psalm 68:5). You shall not mistreat any widow or orphan (Exodus 22:22). The Lord gives pretty somber and stern warnings about the treatment of the needy.

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who was my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward (Matthew 10:42). The king will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40).

Are you storing up heavenly treasures, or earthly treasures that moth and rust do decay. Have you checked your heart condition lately, have you cried out to God. Search me O Lord! Have you taken a long hard look in the mirror, do you like who is staring back at you? No amount of make up can cover a black heart, and no amount of money can fill an empty hole. If you feel like you’re walking through the desert of your soul, if you feel like your life is a barren place; reach out to God. The maker of heaven and earth, the planner of your days, the landscaper of your life. I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs flow in the valleys.

I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs (Isaiah 41:18). No matter your situation today, rather you have plenty or rather you have lack; God‘s got you! The alpha and omega cares for you, the one true living God upholds you with his righteous right hand. So don’t quit, give up our fall down. Your deliverance comes from the hand of the Lord. Let them know that it is your hand, that you Lord, have done it (Psalm 109:27). Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!!!!
