Hebrews 9:22
And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Many churches avoid the message of the blood of Jesus Christ. Their teachers prefer something bright, brotherly, and breezy; something that ignores the painful truth that men must be changed. A gospel that throws theological blankets over the reality of sin is a gospel that avoids Christ crucified. The gospel without the blood of Jesus Christ is "a different gospel," on that Paul said is perverted (Galatians 1:6-9).
You were born under the curse of sin that began with Adam (Romans 5:12). Then Jesus Christ, the Second Adam, went to the cross of Calvary and shed His blood so that the curse of the law over your life would be broke (Galatians 3:13). The unlimited power of the gospel is found in the blood of Jesus Christ. It is His blood that guarantees salvation, that has conquered death, hell, and the grave, and that assures us that "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5).
