At first, this was troubling to me because I love trees. Then I heard the Lord say, “The tree represents anything that has hindered my people are blocked their path in this season.”
After I had chopped the tree down I started to walk off and I heard the Lord say, “Not so fast!” What about the stump and the roots that are left. Roots of bitterness or unforgiveness, I stump at unresolved worries or addictions. See to it that no one fall short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many (Hebrews 12:15). What we don’t deal with, will deal with us.
And what we allow to hide will remain in the dark. There is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open (Luke 8:17). Secret Sin is coming out in the open and hidden things are being exposed. God is shining the light of truth on every situation. The Lord’s word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Come sweep out the cobwebs of indecision, turn to dust the mistakes of the past.
Time to clean house and set ourselves in order to work. Sanctified, purified and ready for kingdom business. God does not call the qualified, he qualifies the called. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9).
Let the burdens of the past become a beautiful testimony. And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death (Revelation 12:11)....
