I was taken into a vision of Jesus. Him and I were in a beautiful garden and he handed me a rose.
He said, the beauty of this rose will wilt and fade quickly now that I have cut it from the vine. Just like my people cannot thrive separated from me.
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5). He then said, “If you put the rose in a vase of water, you can prolong it’s life, but still ultimately it will die.” Same with my people, they have used entertainment, sex, drugs, money and even good deeds to try and feel alive. Again, these are poor substitutes for abiding in the vine.
I am your life source, I am your fulfillment, I am the Way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Your good deeds won’t get you into heaven, doing it your way won’t get you into heaven. We all fall short of the glory of Jesus Christ. That is why we need a personal one-on-one relationship with him, to keep us on the right path. What you are seeking won’t be found in a church service, while it is good to gather with other Christians.
Jesus must first reside in your heart. He must be the voice that guides you, corrects you, and loves you. All other things must fall away. For our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29). Consumed by passion and saved by grace, I am passionate for you God. Our God sings over us, his love will guide our way. Abide in me, and I will abide in you. The God of the universe promises to never leave you or forsake you.
So the Lord ask, “Why do you continue to go it alone?” I am right here by your side. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20). The Lord is inviting you to the banqueting table....
