The Mountains Crumbled by Tammy Lang Jensen
The Father walked me through what looked like ancient ruins this morning.

Great and mighty stone pillars toppled over.

He said, each one represented a person, a pillar in the community. I mighty man or woman of God that had become dependent on position, gifts, anointing and their own strength to hold them up.

And then when the earth quaked, and the mountains crumbled, they all fell down. They took their eyes off Jesus and failed to let his righteous right hand support them. But I hear there is a people, a remaining remnant. That the Father would have me prophesy Isaiah 58:12 over: Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will restore the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of the Breach, restorer of streets of dwellings. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and he set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm (Psalm 40:2).

He has established my coming and my going. He has blessed me in the country and in the city. What can man do to me? But I also feel led to ask, what can man do for me that my God cannot? Can man turn back the sun dial, can he say when I live or die. No, only God can; he has taught me to number my days. A person’s days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed (Job 14:5).

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12). You are wise oh God, a mighty counselor indeed. Teach me, oh Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end (Psalm 119:33). And the Lord said, I assure you, there will be an end. Yet I find many of my people not prepared. Have I not said, I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end! Prepare for my return, lamps full, wicks trimmed. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). Have you set out into the field, a workmen with no thought or concern of tomorrow because you know who holds tomorrow in his hands. Jesus replied, No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God (Luke 9:62).

God is simply asking us to step away from the past and have no care for tomorrow. And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? (Matthew 6:27). Does the Bible not say: But ye have an unction from the Holy One and ye know all things (1 John 2:20). Let Holy Spirit lead you, let the power of God direct you, and let Jesus inspire you.

So on that fateful day, the only words you’ll hear: Is well done, good and faithful servant....
