Many of my children are weary, but I say you must hang on. The enemy would have you give up, whisper it will never get any better. I am the God of the suddenly, able to show up in the midnight hour.
And David inquired of the Lord, saying shall I pursue after this troop?Shall I overtake them? And he answered him, pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all (1 Samuel 30:8).
Sometimes God will bring a suddenly, while other times he will ask you to step out or simply stand in faith! What is God asking you to do today? What do you have in your hand to bless another. Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal (Matthew 6:19). Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you (Luke 6:38).
Not one of us can out give God, or out love God. But imagine what our world would be like if we tried. Acts of compassion our first response, instead of hesitation and mistrust. Funny thing is, you really don't need to trust to give, when giving without hope of a return. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures (James 4:3). It gives me pleasure to see my children happy, when they search and find the good portion.
There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it and it will not be taken away from her (Luke 10:42). Worldly things will come and go, I offer life eternal. None of what concerns you now, will matter to you then. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matthew 6:21). Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2). When your heart and mind are stayed in the right direction, your life will follow also....
